Academy of New Practitioners

The Academy of New Practitioners was started in 2012 to aid new practitioners as they forge their way into the diverse field of pharmacy in Colorado. Membership in the Academy is open to any Society member who considers him/herself a new practitioner, generally having graduated from a Doctor of Pharmacy degree program within the past seven years. Whether you are looking for professional development, networking, or mentor opportunities, the Academy of New Practitioners can help you find it. If you are interested, please consider attending one of our meetings held every other month on the second Wednesday. Fourth year pharmacy students are also encouraged to attend!

The CPS Academy of New Practitioners nominations process is now open for eight positions, and we are seeking your nominations of candidates to stand for election.

This is an anonymous process and self-nominations are welcomed. Member engagement is critical to the success of the association, and the Academy relies upon your recommendations for strong candidates. Nominees should be a member (or are planning to become a member) of Colorado Pharmacist Society and have been in practice for 7 or less years or identify as a new practitioner. The academy is excited to welcome nominations for the following positions:

  1. Chairman-Elect [1 year term]
  2. Secretary-Treasurer [1 year term]
  3. Member at Large [1 year term]
  4. Student Liason [1 year term]
