Description:

This session will highlight key legislative issues impacting the practice of pharmacy during the 2020 Colorado General Assembly legislative session. Participants will learn about bills that have been killed, bills that have passed, and bills in progress. You will gain insight into specific reasons as to why the bills have been introduced, problems they are trying to address, and potential impacts these bills may have to the daily practice of pharmacy in Colorado.

Objectives:

  • Describe pending 2020 legislation in Colorado that may impact pharmacy practice.
  • Explain federal legislation that has the potential to impact pharmacy practice.
  • Review recent regulatory issues in Colorado that impact pharmacy practice.
  • State mechanisms by which pharmacists and technicians in Colorado may influence legislation.

The University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education (CPE).
