2019 Colorado Mid-Session Legislative Update and Impact on Pharmacists

CPS keeps you up-to-date on the policies, legislation and regulations affecting your livelihood, so you don’t have to worry about keeping track of it. This one-hour webinar will cover the progress of specific 2019 legislation and what's expected through the 2019 session convened in January and ending early May. We will also discuss other policy and advocacy issues that will potentially impact Colorado pharmacists, including opioid regulation, collaborative practice, etc.

Learning Objectives:

  1. List 2019 legislation that may impact pharmacy practice in Colorado
  2. Describe current legislation addressing healthcare and drug pricing.
  3. Discuss opioid legislative changes.
  4. Describe policy and rule changes currently under consideration in Colorado outside the legislature.

CE Information

The University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education (CPE). This activity has been accredited for 1.0 contact hours of knowledge-based CPE for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. To receive CPE, participants must create a profile on ipharmCE.UCDenver.edu with their NABP eProfile ID number and birthdate, and complete the program evaluations by March 26, 2019.  CE credit will be uploaded to CPE once evaluations are completed.
