DESCRIPTION:
The Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education encourages phar macy schools and colleges to identify professional activities that students will be entrusted to perform without supervision. Students must have the o pportunity to demonstrate these patient care activities, called Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs), throughout the PharmD program. In addition , the Joint Commission of Pharmacy Practitioners developed a model by which the delivery of patient care is optimized and consistent. This framework, known as the Pharmacist Patient Care Process (PCPP) is highlighted as a key element within pharmacy curricula and is an accreditation expectation. Thi s webinar is designed to help demystify the concept of EPAs in pharmacy edu cation and illustrate how pharmacists can leverage EPAs as a means to give meaningful experiences to students, especially as those opportunities relat e to the PPCP.
