CONTINUING EDUCATION

Up to twelve hours of continuing education will be provided for health-system, retail and consultant pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. (All programs are accredited for PTCB recertification.) The meeting will begin with a non-ACPE program and social hour on Thursday evening. On Friday, the program has been developed by the CPS Academy of Health-System Pharmacists and the CE will be focused on topics of interest to health-system pharmacists and clinical pharmacists. On Saturday, the CE topics will be of interest to all pharmacists.

LOCATION

This will be the first year that the CPS Annual Fall Meeting will be at the Doubletree Hotel DTC, located one block west of the I-25 and Orchard Road interchange.  The address is 7801 E. Orchard Road, Greenwood Village, CO 80111.  The phone number is 303-779-6161.

A block of rooms has been reserved at special conference rates for Thursday and Friday evenings, October 14 and 15, 2010.  Reservations should be made no later than September 10, 2010 by calling 303-779-6161 and asking for the Colorado Pharmacists Society rate of $109 per night.  For more details on the hotel or for directions, click here.

AWARDS BANQUET

An Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 12:15pm.  This event will acknowledge those CPS members who displayed excellence, dedication and leadership to the pharmacist profession.  The awards will include the Bowl of Hygeia and the Distinguished Young Pharmacist.

EXHIBIT HALL

Visit the exhibit hall at noon, October 15, 2010 where exhibitors will be displaying the latest in products and services, and enter to win the grand prize worth up to $500.

The Schools of Pharmacy are sponsoring a Preceptor Program concurrent with the CPS Annual Fall Meeting.
